Blood Tests
Your blood contains vital information about your body’s health — from organ function and hormone balance to nutrient levels and disease risk. Regular blood testing is one of the most effective ways to detect changes early, support prevention, and make informed decisions about your well-being.
With Homed-IQ’s certified home blood tests, you can check key health markers conveniently from home. Each sample is analyzed in an accredited medical laboratory, offering the same accuracy and reliability as a test ordered by your GP.
Why Take a Blood Test?
Blood tests can provide valuable information about:
Organ health (liver, kidney, thyroid, heart…)
Hormonal balance (menopause, thyroid function…)
Nutritional status (vitamins, minerals…)
Infection screening (STIs, hepatitis, HIV…)
Chronic conditions (diabetes, cardiovascular risk…)
Allergy exposition (inhalation, food, animals…)
General and preventive health and lifestyle optimization
By understanding your blood markers, you can detect early signs of imbalance or disease and take steps to improve your health through diet, lifestyle, or medical guidance if needed.
Blood testing can be much more valuable than the reasons mentioned above suggest. Read the details of the specific products for more information.
Common Reasons to Test
You may benefit from a home blood test if you experience:
Persistent fatigue or low energy
Changes in weight, appetite, or mood
Symptoms of hormone imbalance
Concerns about cholesterol, blood sugar, or heart health
Possible exposure to STIs
Interest in tracking general wellness or fitness progress
Abnormal blood values may or may not be noticeable, other than through the symptoms mentioned above. Read the details of the specific products for more information.

How to Collect Your Blood Sample
Homed-IQ’s blood tests use two collection methods — a finger-prick with collection tubes or a dried blood spot (DBS) card — depending on the type of test you choose.
Finger-Prick (Non-DBS) Collection
Prepare: Lay out your lancets, tubes, alcohol wipe, gauze, and return materials.
Clean: Disinfect the side of your middle or ring finger and let it dry.
Prick: Remove the lancet cap and press it firmly against your finger until it clicks.
Collect: Wipe the first drop, then gently massage your finger to fill the blood collection tube(s)
Seal: Replace the caps, click to close, and invert each tube
Send: Place tubes in the protective pouch, seal, and return in the prepaid envelope.
Dried Blood Spot (DBS) Collection
Prepare: Lay out your lancets, blood collection card, alcohol wipe, gauze, and return materials.
Clean: Disinfect the side of your middle or ring finger and let it dry.
Prick: Remove the lancet cap and press it firmly against your finger until it clicks.
Collect: Wipe the first drop, then let blood drip naturally into the marked circles on the blood collection card.
Dry: Leave the card to air-dry 3-4 hours away from sunlight or heat.
Send: Once fully dried, place the card in the protective pouch, seal, and mail in the prepaid envelope.
How We Ensure Accurate Results
Our tests are processed using the same laboratory methods and standards as those used by GPs or clinics. The testing process ensures high sensitivity (the ability to detect the presence of an infection) and high specificity (the ability to avoid false positives). Every result is reviewed within strict medical quality standards to ensure reliability, accuracy and clarity. If you are interested, read more in our “Science” section on our website.
